Program

Dorothy's daycare bilingual program offers to learn in Chinese and English. The program follows The Creative Curriculum which encourages children to learn and explore through play, games, music, creative movement, and arts to develop confidence, creativity, and critical thinking skills. We focus on inspiring children's interest in learning. Our safe and developmentally appropriate environment, healthy meals, and age-appropriate activities support children’s progress in all aspects of developmental needs. We also cater to the unique needs of each child and their families. We conduct regular assessments(DRDP) of a child's development. Parents will know the child's development progress and well-being with us in daily conversations, and individual meetings. With us, Children will build a strong foundation for their success in school and life.

Environment:

We are near Cabrillo Playground and Golden Gate Park. Unless the weather is extreme, we go outdoors two times a day. We visit the Cabrillo Playground, have field trips to Golden Gate Park, and have gardening activities in our backyard. Those give children opportunities to appreciate nature. In our classroom, there are seven learning areas: Dramatic Play, Blocks & Building Play, Music and Movement, Reading & Quiet Space, Science, Art, and mathematics. Our developmentally appropriate outdoor and indoor activities can lead to better physical and mental health, improved sleep, and cognitive, social, language, and emotional gains for young children. With us, your child will fully benefit from the magical years of early childhood education.
